It’s nice when the company you’ve been working with gets complimented by Jamie Oliver on prime-time TV, but it can be a bit of a shock when you’re just having your tea! I was surprised and delighted to see Brighton’s Good Things Brewing featured in the current series of ‘Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast’.
Good Things Brewing
Jamie praised their drive to be the “world’s first self-sustaining brewery” by recycling their used grain into top grade flour. Quite right too; they’re a great company aiming to recycle and use sustainable materials to create an environmentally friendly and plastic free business.
This extended into the features and fittings for their taproom, and we were very proud when they commissioned tap handles from us for their Pale Ale and IPA. Working together, we created hand painted and etched handles from European Beech, which look beautiful and will last a lifetime. It’s brilliant that with the rise in craft brewing and smaller producers in the hospitality industries, there’s been a real resurgence in interest in bespoke fittings and sustainability.
We’ve enjoyed working with many breweries now, creating personalised tap handles, pump clips and signage. We also do beer paddles and cutting and serving boards, including commissions from Bells of Lazonby and Booths Supermarket for personalised bread boards.
We’re all being encouraged to do our bit and reduce plastic where possible, and wood is a beautiful, hardwearing environmentally friendly alternative. Do look at our Shop page for sustainable utensils and gifts, or contact us to discuss any bespoke or corporate requirements
When Jamie Oliver gives you a shout out, you know the message is really being heard!
