Three Hills Brewing

Case Study: Tap Handles for Three Hills Brewing

We recently completed a project with Three Hills Brewing, creating Personalised Tap Handles for their range of Beers.

Three Hills BrewingThree Hills Brewing

Three Hills Brewing is a nano-brewery based in Woodford, Northamptonshire. Each 225l small batch is brewed with creativity in mind, focussing on creating new recipes with each batch rather than keeping the same beers each time.

Three Hills were looking for a new batch of Tap Handles to showcase their beers and so came to us to see if we could help.

Personalised Beer Tap Handles

We worked with Three Hills to come up with a range of Tap Handles that showcases the content they need on each handle and their branding. The tap handles were supplied with etching on three sides and an insert in the base, ready for Three Hills to use them straight away.

The complete order went out earlier in June and as you can see from this photo, they work a charm!

You may remember that in 2017, we attended The Good Life Experience as normal festival-goers. We even wrote a blog post about our time there, which you can read by clicking here. Well, this year, we are so pleased to let you know that we are attending The Good Life Experience 2018 and our products will be on sale all weekend!

The Good Life Experience 2018

The Good Life Experience is a fantastic festival, hosted on the Hawarden Estate in North Wales and takes place in September each year; this year from 14-16th. Founded by Cerys Matthews, Steve Abbott, Charlie Gladstone and Caroline Gladstone, we can say first had that TGLE is a truly wholesome and inspiring festival, offering visitors such a huge variety of activities throughout their time there. From talks, to cooking sessions, to music and to the Marketplace, there is so much to do and see throughout the weekend, you are sure to have a fantastic time. The Good Life Experience aims to create experiences and memories that will last a lifetime. So far the 2018 line up includes DJs Trevor Nelson and Norman Jay MBE, brave adventurer Ben Fogle, poet Hannah Jane Walker and so many more, with even more to be announced.

We had the pleasure of meeting Charlie Gladstone back in January at Top Drawer, and we got chatting about our work and the festival. Charlie mentioned that he would love to see us at TGLE again and urged us to get in touch regarding a stand there. So that’s exactly what we did! We will be attending the Festival all weekend and our work will be on sale. We are launching a new range of Serving Boards in Summer so this will be their first outing, too.

We cannot wait to attend the Festival, and urge you to check out their website as it is such a wonderful, wonderful weekend.

We look forward to seeing you there at The Good Life Experience 2018! If you have any questions or would like to know more, don’t hesitate to contact us.

We Have a New Stockist – Introducing The Whitworth

The Whitworth Art Gallery is part of the University of Manchester, and is based in Whitworth Park.

The Whitworth

The Whitworth was first established in 1889, as the first English gallery in the Park; and in 2015 the Gallery received funding, allowing it to double in size and hold many more pieces.  The Gallery is now part of the University of Manchester, and is a place of research and academic collaboration. Part of the Gallery is a beautiful gift shop, and that’s where William Firth Woodcraft comes in!

Back in January 2018, we met the team from The Whitworth at an event, and were so pleased when they gave us great feedback regarding our products. Shortly after the event, we received an order of a variety of products that they would like to hold in the Gallery Shop.

The WhitworthOur Work

The order The Whitworth placed contains a mixture of Wonky Serving Boards, Cooking Spoons, Spatulas and a wide variety of Bowls.

As with all of our products and orders, each product is handmade from the finest timber and each piece of wood, particularly for the bowls in this case, is picked for its character and unique qualities. Every product is created out of our workshop in Scorton, in Lancashire, utilising best practices and traditional methods.

We’re so pleased that our work is featured in such a fantastic location, and we can’t wait to visit it in the flesh to see for ourselves! We’re very much looking forward to working with The Whitworth for a long time to come.
